So we’ve done what every North Shore kid has said they won’t do – purchased outside of North Van. Not only did we purchase outside of North Van, we drove down the highway 30 minutes and right in to Langley.
Yup – its happened, we bought a house. In Walnut Grove. Far far away from our families.
But Kelly, you say, how will you still see your mom? I won’t. She’s promised to come out to Langley three times a year: Easter, Christmas and one day in the summer. I, too, will venture back to the North Shore, but only because I refuse to give up my hairdresser.
But Kelly! You're allergic to Walnuts. - Indeed I am, but I'm not entirely sure Walnut Grove has anything to do with Walnuts. I should look into that further though.
So if you ever get a Treo pass and somehow manage to navigate over the bridge, feel free to come slum it with us in Suburbia. We have a 9x12 Sauna and a giant backyard that calls for a bottle, or two, of wine. Although do they still drink wine out there? I may have to start drinking Palm Bays and Coors Light. (Upon further investigation, the Township 7 winery is not that far away – so maybe wine is still okay).
So, is it getting hotter in here? Yup, because Langley gets a lot more sun than NV, and oh yea – the sauna… that beautiful, Scandinavian traditional sauna.
Bring on the Mini Van and jorts!
